NBC Traitors Hate America: UPDATE

Hmmm... Appropriate...

UPDATE:
From Drudge--**Under pressure from outraged viewers, NBC has reversed its decision not to air the Freedom's Watch ads thanking troops... Developing...

Not surprising, as this additional gem is up on Newsbusters;

"Yet, such didn't seem to be a problem a few years ago when MoveOn.org created an antiwar ad entitled "How Many More" that, according to the organization's
website, ran during NBC's "Today" show" (video available here, h/t NB reader Blair Lovern):

When we gave the media our new TV ad, they ran it during the news segments onGood Morning America and The Today Show-those shows are viewed by millions. Now, in order to make sure this moment isn't forgotten, we need to repeatedly play the ad on TV screens across America. Will you make a contribution to help make that happen? This is a critical time to be getting the message out about Iraq and MoveOn.org Political Action is entirely member funded. Together we can make
a big difference.

"Now, this ad in question doesn't show the URL for MoveOn per se. However, as it addresses IN WRITING the organization as MoveOn.org, that INDEED IS the group's URL."

NBC just made a punk-ass move and got their ass jerked in a knot for it by consumers and viewers who let them know where they get their daily bread.

The Jester will keep an eye on this in order to impart more incisive and witty commentary on NBC and their flip-flop (or more properly--Treason)

This little item comes to us from NewsBusters.

NBC has rejected a TV ad by Freedom's Watch, a conservative group that supports administration policy in Iraq, that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season.

NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group's Web site, which the network said was too political, not because of the ad's message.

Alan Wurtzel, NBC's head of standards and practices, said the network decided not to run the Freedom's Watch ad because the group insisted that the spot contain the URL address of its Web site.

Let's see, too political like this...

Chris Matthews (MSNBC): "But my definition of a defeat is you can‘t leave. If we can‘t leave that country in the foreseeable future, we are losing. The purpose of the American Army is to get home and be ready to defend this country against possible threats to this country. As long as we‘re stuck over there, it seems we‘re losing. When will we be able to come home from Iraq, based upon all this popular good news here? Because if we can‘t ever come home, we can‘t ever say we won."

Or maybe like this....

Erin Burnett (MSNBC): "who couldn't have a man-crush on that man, and I am not talking about the monkey either."

Yep, that URL is waaayyyyyy too political for the NBC networks.

These network idiots who sit in their glass tower over at 30 Rock are so far out of touch with the real world, that they should be the Mars Mission team.

Freedom's Watch CEO, Bradley A. Blakeman, responded to the rejection of their ads by NBC with a letter to NBC. Just a piece of it;

It is deeply troubling that the Networks appear to be rejecting an effort to air messages that thank our troops for their sacrifice and, in so doing, remind Americans of the sacrifices made by them this Holiday season. An effort to thank our troops should not be silenced by national broadcast and cable networks. Your denial begs the question of whether the Networks disagree with FW and, due to the level of your disagreement, you would prefer to censor FW's effort to thank our troops and encourage an outpouring of support from the American people for them. A detailed explanation of your censorship appears to be very necessary.

If you refuse to air FW's advertisement, we thus request an explanation of your basis in writing or station policy within two (2) days from the date above as time is of the essence.

You go after NBC Mr. Blakeman, and if you need help, you let the Jester know. I will get my axe sharpened up.
