Israel to Hamas: It's On Bitches!!!

Yeah! Like Donkey Kong...

Jerusalem, 5 January, (AKI) - Israel's Foreign Minister, Tzipi Livni, signalled on Monday that Israel would no longer respond with restraint to rocket fire from militant Islamist Palestinian group Hamas. Her country's current military offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip is intended to "change the equation" in the region, Livni said.

Speaking to journalists in Jerusalem on Monday, Livni defended Israel's incursion into the Gaza Strip as "legitimate self-defence".

Earlier on Monday, Israel's Defence Minister Ehud Barak told MPs that Hamas had suffered a "very heavy blow", but insisted the offensive in Gaza would continue to defend Israeli citizens.

It's about time. Israel tried to get Hamas to stop. They had a 6 month truce, they worked through Egyptian mediators. Nothing. Hamas only wants Israel destroyed.

It's about time Israel stuck up for itself and defended its citizens.

For those loosers that don't think this is legitimate or the response isn't proportional: you're wrong. Any country should be able to defend itself. Any country should be able to push for a solution when other non-military options have expired. Hamas is just lucky Israel was restrained for so long. Not any more. Is one Qassam worth one tank shell or one dropped bomb? What is proportional. I say proportional is getting the other side to stop before more casualties happen (see a-bombs in Japan for past references).

Hamas only knows one type of response: Violence. Well, now Israel is beating the crap out of them (exactly what they wanted). They can cry out for peace, but they really don't want it.

They are now reaping what they have sowed for years. There is no reason to cry for them or ask for mercy ... they want neither.

I only hope Israel has the guts to carry this through to the end. If Hamas can be marginalized right here, right now, that will be a huge blow to militant islam. Go Israel!!!

I sure hope they keep it going - no cease fire will ever work - the rockets will keep on being fired on Israel. Good on her! Godspeed to the IDF.
